I am always learning. Always experimenting.
I work with a wide range of mediums, such as: graphite, watercolor, earth dyes, gouache, oil, acrylic,
mixed media, wax, etc.
The Moon Deck
a world-renowned oracle set of
44 illustrated cards + guidebook co- created with Author Aarona Lea.
I created the original art for 44 cards, the guide book cover, box design and notebooks. I combined several different techniques to create The Moon Deck illustrations. The imagery was hand drawn with graphite pencils on coffee stained watercolor paper to add warmth. I painted on silk separately to add organic shapes, color and texture to the backgrounds. Then combined the drawings and silk paintings with photoshop to create dreamy, layered designs.
NATURALLY DYED SILKS
I create one of a kind silk wearables and tapestries using only flowers, natural extracts and nontoxic metallic salts.
Much like cooking, I steam bundled silk over the stove and brew natural dye baths to create lovely organic color. Thank you India Flint for sharing this beautiful process.
Recycling flowers from special events and weddings is a stunning and memorable way to immortalize the essence of the special occasion in a new and beautiful form.
