Recent Work — Blooming Within

Blooming Within is an ongoing series of botanical watercolor paintings created during quiet moments of reflection throughout my healing journey with metastatic breast cancer. Painted in handmade journals gathered during travels in Europe, these works carry the textures, tenderness, and presence of those intimate spaces.

Many of the flowers and trees were observed during sacred days spent with my daughter in France. These pieces hold not only the blooms and branches themselves, but also the joy, love, laughter, sunlight, and buzzing bees of those moments together. Other works emerged from time spent in the New York Flower District, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, local parks, and upstate — places that continually remind me that even when life feels upside down, beauty is still everywhere.

My intention with the Blooming Within collection is to offer a sense of presence, peace, and healing — inviting moments of stillness and connection through layered, expressive, and contemplative watercolor paintings inspired by nature.
